Seth Rudetsky

Seth Rudetsky (b. Jamaica, Queens, NY) is the afternoon Broadway host every day on Sirius/XM radio.

As a musician, Seth has a classical piano degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and has played keyboards in the pits of more than a dozen Broadway shows including Ragtime, Les Miz, and Phantom. He was the vocal coach for the Legally Blonde reality show on MTV. He was the Artistic Producer/Music Director for the first five annual Actors Fund Fall Concerts, including Dreamgirls with Audra MacDonald (recorded on Nonesuch Records) and Hair with Jennifer Hudson (recorded on Ghostlight Records, nominated for a Grammy).

As a comic, Seth won the title of “Funniest Gay Male in New York” at Stand-Up NY, had a long-running show at Caroline’s Comedy Club, and spent two years gathering up three Emmy nominations as a comedy writer on The Rosie O’Donnell Show.

As an actor, Seth played Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy (Gallery Players), had a recurring role on All My Children, and a guest spot on Law and Order: C.I. He made his Broadway stage debut at The Roundabout Theater, under the direction of Joe Mantello, as Sheldon Farenthold in The Ritz, singing “Magic To Do” in a (devastating) unitard.

He writes a weekly column for Playbill.com and his novel Broadway Nights (now in its fourth printing) was released on Audible.com as an audio book featuring Jonathan Groff, Andrea Martin, Kristin Chenoweth and himself. He was recently featured in Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List and starred opposite Tony Award®-winner Sutton Foster in an Actor’s Fund benefit of They’re Playing Our Song.

Seth Rudetsky started doing his online video “Deconstructions” a few years ago and now, after thousands of hits on YouTube and on his website, he tours the US and Canada doing them live.
