This studio album of Handel's Messiah Rocks is the culmination of an ambitious and exciting collaboration, featuring Tony Award® winner LaChanze, Tony Award® Nominee J. Robert Spencer, MiG Ayesa of Rockstar: INXS, and the Boston Pops conducted by Keith Lockhart, to bring the Western world's most famous oratorio to contemporary audiences through the power of rock music. The blending of George Frideric Handel’s original 1742 work for orchestra, choir, and soloists with the modern vernacular of jazz vocals with a five-piece rock band illuminates the Messiah’s journey for our own era. Handel’s Messiah Rocks can speak to the very best in each of us, no matter what our relationship to faith may be.
