    About Stephen Sondheim – The Story So Far…:

    Stephen Sondheim – The Story So Far…is an extensive four-disc compilation in tribute to the career of Stephen Sondheim, packaged in a deluxe box set. It contains excerpts from original cast recordings of Sondheim musicals (West Side Story, Gypsy, Into the Woods, Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music, and many others), plus tracks licensed from other labels (to give a complete representation) and previously unreleased demo tracks, including many privately recorded by Sondheim (singing and playing the piano). Also includes the first release of soundtrack recordings of Madonna singing songs from the film Dick Tracy.

    Included is a lavishly illustrated booklet (many photos never before published) with essays by Harold Prince and Mark Eden Horowitz of the Library of Congress, plus reminiscences and tributes by Sondheim's collaborators and stars.
