A much better recording than the original and certainly more representative of what R&H were attempting. Some good songs and ballet music but on the whole it's not the "great" misunderstood show its reputation suggests. It's easy to see why High Button Shoes was a much better and certainly more enjoyable show than this ponderous and pretentious stuff. Good performances all around and great sound considering it was recorded in many different locations (including Europe)!
