James Naughton

Though he has worked largely in stage plays on Broadway, James Naughton made his Broadway debut as Wally in Cy Coleman and Michael Stewart’s musical adaptation of the play, I Love My Wife, by Luis Rego back in 1977. After working more than ten years in television and on stage, Naughton returned to the Broadway musical in 1989 in Cy Coleman and David Zippel’s musical setting of Larry Gelbart’s City of Angels. For his performance as Stone (Movie Cast), Naughton won the 1990 Tony Award® for Best Actor in a Musical.

In 1996, Naughton won another Tony®, this time for his portrayal of Billy Flynn in the 1996 revival of Chicago.
