The Fair Lady Who Came to Supper

My Fair Lady London OBCR (1959) LP Release Today in 1959

When the advent of stereo changed the way people listened to their music, Goddard Lieberson, then President of Columbia Records, decided to re-do the label’s most successful Broadway cast album in this new format that featured the same principals, Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews.  The show opened in London at the Drury Lane on April 30, 1958 where it went on to play a total of 2,281 performances.
