Anne of Green Gables is based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables. Norman Campbell, the composer, and Elaine Campbell, the lyricist, collaborated with Don Harron and Mavor Moore to create Anne of Green Gables – The Musical. The musical first hit the stage in 1965, and is Canada’s longest-running musical.
